Ingredients
- 3 Tbspn soy sauce
- 2 Tbspn rice wine
- ½ tspn corn flour
- 1 Tbspn vegetable oil
- 1 Tbspn fresh ginger root, finely grated
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled and crushed
- 500 grams beef steak, cut into thin strips
- 250 grams snow peas
- 1 red pepper, deseeded and cut into strips
- Coriander (to garnish – optional)
- Basmati rice
Method
Step 1. Cook rice as per packet instructions
Step 2. In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, rice wine, and corn flour. Set aside.
Step 3. Heat oil in wok or large fry pan, over medium high heat. Add ginger and garlic and cook for 1 minute, stirring so they don’t burn .
Step 4. Add the steak and stir-fry for 2 minutes or until browned.
Step 5. Add the snow peas and red pepper and stir-fry for 3 minutes.
Step 6. Add the soy sauce mixture and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Lower the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens. Serve immediately on rice and garnish with coriander (optional).
